Wednesday, July 12, 2017 is the Grand Opening of the Rural Heritage Museum of the Winona County Historical Society on the Winona County Fairgrounds.
Join the Historical Society for a short ceremony, cake, lemonade, door prizes and live music!
The site hosts a museum building filled with exhibits about Winona County’s rural past and agricultural heritage. In addition, the historic Gainey Schoolhouse, the Hill sister’s log cabin and an early log barn are all available to explore during the fair. All of the buildings are originals from early settlers from the Winona County area. The new museum will host special programs during the fair (see daily schedules) and will also host various activities and hands-on experiences during the Fair!
